Accessing eBooks

Ways to access eBooks:

Streaming: Reading books directly from the eBook vendor's site.  Your device will need a constant internet connection.

Download: If a vendor allows you to download a book to your device, in most instances, a time meter is put in place (7 or 14 days depending on the vendor).  Once the time meter has expired, the book you have downloaded will become inaccessible until you download it again.

Previews: Making only selected pages of a eBook available to you to read on a page-by-page basis.  In Google Books these views are labeled Full View, Limited Preview, Snippet View, or No Preview Available. More details about these views.

Ebook Collections available through the Library

The Lindenwood Library offers over 500,000 eBooks, which are available for free to current Lindenwood students, faculty, and staff 24/7. While many of our eBooks are listed in our book catalog search engine, it won't give you a comprehensive search through all of our collections. The best way to find an eBook is by going to each of the databases directly and doing a search. For the eBooks that can be found in our catalog, there will be a direct link to the book to the database that has the title.
