MOBIUS Items

MOBIUS items can be renewed if you have renewals left or if no one else is waiting for the item. While we wait to hear from other MOBIUS schools and the consortium, please direct any questions concerning contingency forgiveness plans, overdue items, bills, fines and MOBIUS items to the Circulation Coordinator, Chris Smentkowski csmentkowski@lindenwood.edu

You can also renew your books online by logging into your library account.

Due to the rapid increase of colleges and universities closing down across the state, MOBIUS borrowing has been suspended on Lindenwood's campus. As of today, students, faculty, and staff will no longer be able to request materials from other MOBIUS lending libraries. Additionally, many MOBIUS libraries are limiting the usage of their libraries to only enrolled students, faculty, and staff at that university or college. We apologize for any inconvenience and will update you when MOBIUS is back up and running.

Lindenwood Owned Items

Due to COVID-19 and the University going strictly online through the end of the Spring semester, all books checked out that are owned by Lindenwood have a new due date of May 17th.This does not include MOBIUS or ILL books. If you have questions about Lindenwood owned books please contact the Circulation Coordinator, Chris Smentkowski

Catalogs Outside Lindenwood Library

MOBIUS

Your next option is to search for books via MOBIUS.  MOBIUS is a consortium of academic libraries which gives you access to search the catalogs of 60 different colleges and universities and a couple of public libraries, in the state of Missouri.  You may easily order books through MOBIUS and pick them up at Lindenwood library or perhaps another college or University. You will need to display your Lindenwood ID card in order to check-out a book at another location.

WorldCat

Your access to a “global” catalog!  WorldCat is a “union catalog”, which consists of the catalogs from over 71,000 different libraries around the world.  Search for items which can be easily located at your local library or perhaps a library in a different country. It is the world's largest bibliographic database!

You may request items in WorldCat too!

InterLibrary Loan

After you have searched for books in the Bridges Catalog, MOBIUS, and perhaps even WorldCat, and you still have not been able to locate a particular item, then you may need to order the book through InterLibrary Loan.  There is a link located on the library website, which you can use to access this service.

Go to the main Lindenwood University website, click library, scroll down to Services, scroll down and click the interlibrary loan link.

Next, click the Book request form, fill out your personal information and all of the information you have about the book and finally click the request item button.  The request is received in an email account at Lindenwood library and your request will be processed immediately.

(Remember to use this service to obtain a particular item you could not find at Lindenwood Library or MOBIUS).

It may take several weeks to receive your item, depending on where the item is located.
