Welcome to the Career and Job Research research guide! This guide will highlight key databases the library has that can help you research a job, a company, or an industry. Each tab will guide you and provide you with information on different aspects of career researching.

You can start your search by looking at what books are available at the library. Lindenwood has a selection of over 283, 300 volumes, ebooks, electronic and print journals, audio-visual materials and games. Lindenwood is also part of a library consortium called MOBIUS. MOBIUS connects Lindenwood users to over 70 other libraries in and around the state of Missouri. You can request items from participating MOBIUS libraries to be sent to Lindenwood through the MOBIUS catalog.

It's Explore Careers section allows you to discover what you would do in a career, educational and licensing requirements, skills and competencies needed, and job outlook and salary information. O*Net Online is a great site for learning about occupations. For each career listed, the site describes what someone in that careers does, gives beneficial skills and work styles, detail necessary education and credentialing, connects it to similar careers, and more. Occupational Outlook Handbook
A great place to start is the Occupational Outlook Handbook which is produced by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The Occupational Outlook Handbook can help you find career information on duties, education and training, pay, and outlook for hundreds of occupations.
