Age is the length of time that something has lived. Although age usually refers to people, it may also refer to animals, plants, objects, or ideas.
Age is different from many other forms of diversity because it is constantly changing and inevitable. While you cannot change your sexuality or race, every living being on this planet ages.
Aging might include ageism, or discrimination based on age. This can affect healthcare, social interaction, employment (although it is illegal to discriminate based on age in the workplace), and one's own reaction to the possibility of aging. For more info, check out the following resources:
